On Tuesday, we went to the beach with our class, and it was glorious! It was so sunny and hot, so hot that I almost got sunburnt! We took loads of beautiful photos of the sea and we ate delicious sandwiches prepared for us by our partners! Then, we went to an orange packing factory and saw mountains of oranges! It was an unforgettable experience, and we learnt all about how they process oranges. We learnt all about how oranges are cleaned, waxed, selected, graded, packed and bagged ready for the supermarket shelf. They even have a room called the 'Beauty Parlour', a room with UV lights, that can detect imperfections or bruising under the skin of the orange. It was fascinating to hear all about how they can identify where every single orange is from the moment that it comes into the factory off the growers lorry, to the supermarket shelf. Today was also Charlotte's Birthday, so in the afternoon, we went to Raquel's house (Charlotte's partner), and we had cupcakes. Afterwards, we went to the park and had a great afternoon. By the evening, we were all exhausted, and went home with our partners for the evening.
